High on the western edge of the Pennines is Lyme Hall (as featured in BBC TV's dramatisation of 'Pride and Prejudice'), a stately mix of the Elizabethan period, with 18th and 19th century adaptations by Leoni and Wyatt. In addition to 1,400 acres of Park and Moorland, the beautiful 17 acre Victorian garden contains spectacular formal bedding and a sunken Dutch Garden. Coffee shop and gift shops.

PARKINGBlue badge parking in Orangery Yard and at Coffee Shop. General car park some distance away.
APPROACHFrom main car park - long, steeped incline to Hall. From BB parking - steep incline over cobbled/sand surfaces - difficult to negotiate when wet. Alternatively, free courtesy minibus (without chair lift) available - please ring for details.
TOILETSMain House - unisex accessible toilet via ladies toilet. Accessible toilet opposite coffee shop (Old Workshop Tearooms). However you are unable to wash and dry hands whilst seated on the bowl.
REFRESHMENTSLevel access to both Hall tea room and Lakeside coffee shop.
GENERALWheelchair users are advised to telephone in advance of visiting to check on availability of parking/assistance.
CHAPELOne, steep step up into chapel.
GARDENSOn three levels - linked by ramps.
